Strawberry Star’s landmark mixed-use development Lu2on, on the former Vauxhall factory site in London’s top commuter town Luton (according to Yopa’s 2019 London Commuter Guide), has secured its first anchor tenant, Co-op. The award-winning community retailer will be leasing a 5,371 sq ft unit fronting Kimpton Road and Luton Airport Parkway Railway Station.
In prime position, within a new community, the new supermarket sits in part of a wider £400 million regeneration project, with a transport hub at its heart. The 877 households in the development will benefit from the new store, along with the 233 homes in a neighbouring new scheme as well as the wider and passing community.
