Lu2on, a mixed-use development by Strawberry Star Homes, the volume housing division of London-based international property company Strawberry Star Group, has won the prestigious UK Property Awards at the International Property Awards (IPA) 2019 in two categories – Mixed-Use Development in London region and Development Marketing in East England region.

Strawberry Star Homes will be honoured at the UK Property Awards in the Royal Lancaster hotel, London on the 25th October for winning the awards. In addition, the company will compete against the best property companies across the UK region to be recognised in the two categories as the rating of the awards will be revealed at the presentation ceremony.

Santhosh Gowda, Chairman, Strawberry Star Group, said, “We are absolutely delighted with these two UK Property Awards at IPA 2019, which are a testimonial to our volume housing strategy. We thank the panel of judges for having successfully evaluated Lu2on in the two categories. Lu2on is raising the benchmark in the UK property market, as an ideal mixed-use development in the commuter belt towns. We are now eager to win at the UK level and then at the European level.”

The UK Property Awards are judged by an independent panel of over 80 industry experts. Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability. The judging panel is chaired by Lord Caithness, Lord Best, The Earl of Liverpool, and Lord Thurso, members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament. The UK Property Awards are the largest, most prestigious, and widely recognised programme.

Located on the site of the former Vauxhall Motors factory, where some of Britain’s most iconic and best-loved cars were once built, the £280m Lu2on scheme will provide 877 residential units, including bespoke suites, one and two-bedroom apartments and first-class facilities such as private roof gardens and 24-hour concierge. Work on Phase 1 of the scheme has already commenced and will complete 401 apartments by Q2 2021. The scheme provides London lifestyle amenities and facilities, 49,600 sqft of retail space, an 8,000 sqft gym, a star hotel that will include a banqueting facility, 10,000 sqm of gardens and a landscaped piazza.

The IPA awards are in their 26th year and cover over 45 different residential and commercial categories. Regional heats are staged for Arabia, Europe, Africa, Canada, Central & South America, the Caribbean, USA, UK and Asia Pacific. These will be celebrated at gala presentation events in Bangkok, London and Toronto during the course of the year. The top winners in each region will automatically be entered in to the overall international awards, culminating in a glittering awards ceremony, held at the Savoy Hotel London on 2nd December.
